Meeting Held with ICT Course Participants

Beyond the Classroom: How ICT IMMIT Participants Came Together

Amid the structured pace of the ICT IMMIT course, participants experienced one of the most memorable moments of the program — a simple gesture that fostered connection and community. What began as an informal gathering quickly grew into something participants would carry with them long after the course concluded.

Away from the formality of regular lectures, the atmosphere relaxed into something warmer. Participants from different backgrounds — varying in age, experience, and professional goals — sat together, sharing experiences, ideas, and aspirations. Conversation came easily, laughter carried across the room, and new friendships began to take shape. For many, it was a rare chance to see their peers not just as classmates, but as individuals with their own stories and ambitions in the tech space.

What made the experience stand out:

  • A break from formal learning – participants stepped away from lectures and coursework to connect more personally, exchanging knowledge and insights in a relaxed, informal setting
  • Diverse voices, one table – attendees from different backgrounds, skill levels, and career paths came together to share experiences, ideas, and aspirations
  • Stronger sense of community – easy conversation, shared laughter, and mutual encouragement helped the group bond beyond coursework and technical training
  • New friendships formed – connections that carried on past the course itself, with many participants staying in touch to support one another’s growth
  • Renewed motivation – hearing others’ goals and challenges inspired participants to stay committed to their own learning journeys
  • A thoughtful touch by GBF – the initiative added a meaningful dimension to the overall course experience, reinforcing that learning is as much about people as it is about skills

Moments like these are a reminder that technical training thrives not just on curriculum, but on the relationships and community built along the way. For the ICT IMMIT participants, this experience became one more reason to look back on the program with pride and gratitude.
