Early programs expanded access to education and vocational training
GBF broadened its work to include healthcare, livelihoods, and community development.
GBF continued strengthening local partnerships and expanding community-based programs.
A future in which people have the knowledge, skills, support, and opportunity to strengthen their own lives, contribute to their communities, and help the next generation move forward.
We believe lasting progress grows through shared learning, practical support, and strong community relationships.
At present many millions of these unfortunate people enter the world in such poverty that they are deprived of both the means and the motivation to improve their lot. Not only are they miserable, the social and economic cost of their plight is incalculable. Adequate accommodation is a principal factor in human health and well-being.
